On this home page, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting to go back to school and further my career.the
chance of being able to utilize my medical training while you allowed me to gain more experience from your teachings by showing
me how to be proficient in patient checks and follow-up protocols when parents of the patient called in about their sick child/children;
call in prescriptions for patients per doctor's request; review for patients History
_ Physicals
(H&P); insured
patients rooms were santitized and presentable in examination rooms for patients before and after visits; took proper vital
signs for check-ups and given proper physical to your patients.
My most experimental part of the job was removing sutures and staples from the patients eye, hand, thigh or head (based
upon injury location). I did not mind administering venipunctures or PKU's but I felt only sorry for the infants receiving
the shots.
During the sick visits, I felt honored to be able to help the patients that had asthma or was short of breath(SOB)
by administering breathing treatments and checking their pulse Ox. I was also glad that you trusted me to call patients in
while you were out of the office and give throat cultures and fill out and send out labs for results without disturbing your
day off or vacation time.
After all, my obstacles and bumpy roads I must say "You are responsible for my success" today. I now have
a good and stable job at a major hospital in New Jersey... as a Nursing Assistant while enrolling in school
majoring in Nursing after completing my prerequisites and furthering my education in the Nursing field to one day I can continue
helping and caring for people as a Registered Nurse.
Now, I work at a major hospital as a Nursing Assistant. I just recently, started to attend school. Classes
are Psychology;Sociology; Computer Science and Math. I never liked math and science eversince elementary school, however,
in order for me to become a Nurse I have to complete some math and science courses. I learned not to let what my least
interests are set my destiny.
I wanted to be a traveling nurse, but since I have children I would like to be able to set my own personal time for my
children, family or myself and work on other days.
